ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Amanda and I am an artist and all-round creative person. I was born in Essex but moved to Weymouth in my teens, finally settling in Bournemouth with my family. I grew up in the beautiful countryside of Dorset, the rolling hills and the nooks and crannies of the Dorset coastline; I love where I live.
Since a very early age, I have enjoyed drawing, painting and creating; if I am inspired by something, I will always try to re-create this myself. I studied Art and Art History at Weymouth College and then went on to study HNC Illustration at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design. It was around this time that I started to sell my first commissions. Initially specialising in illustrative pencil drawn pieces, and progressing to acrylic paintings and ink drawings. I specialise in realistic style drawings and paintings and, more recently, more abstract, brightly coloured acrylic paintings.

I am inspired by my local scenery and my travels around the Mediterranean. I love a Dorset harbour with the sounds and smells of harbour life and cannot pass by a cobalt blue doorway set against the bright white of a grecian house without taking a photo and imagining the painting I can create. Art is in my soul, it is part of who I am, so please take a look at my previous works and if you are interested in a commission or working together, please do not hesitate to contact me.
